TOTAL Foul water drainage Systems
Foul water drainage system
Most foul sewers are 150mm (about 5.91 in) diameter and are usually laid at depths between 3m and 5 m deep. Often there is a foul water pumping station in the scheme to pump the waste to an appropriate outfall.
These pump stations are usually the deepest construction on the development, and it is not unusual for them to be up to 7m – 8 m deep.
For any excavation at this depth, it is necessary to utilise a specialist earthwork support system.
Total regularly installs these on their customers’ behalf and ensures that safety is consistently made the number one priority across any given project.
Storm water sewers come in a wide range of sizes varying from 100mm (about 3.94 in) diameter up to 2.4 m diameter.
Total has a vast depth of experience in laying pipes of all sizes. The smallest diameters are usually either Upvc or clay, whilst the larger diameters tend to be either concrete or plastic.
