Over the years some form of storm attenuation on every development has come to be expected. Numerous distinct types of storm water storage systems have been utilised and Total Groundwork have had experience in them all – whether it be a simple pond, lined ponds, concrete culverts, large diameter pipes in plastic, concrete or metal, precast concrete tanks, plastic crate systems or occasionally of open cut ditches.

The size and depth of the proposed sewers are no problem to Total Groundworks as we employ our own professional drainage workforce who all have the necessary health and safety qualifications and experience to complete each project to an exceedingly high standard. 

If the works are to be located on an adopted highway or connecting a new sewer to an existing main, various approvals will need to be given by the appropriate Authority. Total have the necessary in-house expertise to complete the appropriate application forms and get all the approvals necessary to enable the project to commence.

An Attenuation system  is the temporary storage of surface water in a suitable chamber below ground level. The chamber needs to be of sufficient size to accommodate the calculated run-off during peak periods of rainfall.
