Lauder Lodge Care Home: A Community-Focused Development
Total Regen is proud to have been awarded the contract for the design and construction of Lauder Lodge, a state-of-the-art, 60-bedroom care home located on a repurposed brownfield site.
The project’s successful completion in November 2017 stands as a testament to our expertise in land remediation, groundworks, demolition, and drainage. The innovative facility promises a welcoming environment that meets the diverse needs of its residents.
Thoughtful Design and Amenities
Lauder Lodge features a range of carefully designed amenities intended to enhance the quality of life for its residents. These include a café, hairdressers, cinema, library, activity spaces, and a family room, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
Noteworthy design considerations were made to support residents living with dementia. The sensory gardens, accessible to all ground-floor tenants, offer a serene and calming retreat, while the dedicated play area for children visitors promotes intergenerational connections.
A Focus on Comfort and Accessibility
The layout of Lauder Lodge was strategically planned to minimize confusion, ensuring an easy navigation for residents. Each floor is equipped with its own dining room and quiet spaces, enhancing the living experience.
Furthermore, access to terraces and balconies provides stunning views of Arthur’s Seat and the nearby beach, allowing residents to embrace the outdoors comfortably. The construction, utilizing durable materials such as insulated blockwork and precast concrete, exemplifies Total Regen’s commitment to longevity and quality.
