Project Overview

Welcome to our case study, where we are excited to share information about our recent project at Parc Plaza, a popular commercial development on the outskirts of Bridgend. We were awarded the contract for groundworks, section 278 works, earthworks, and demolition of a 63,000 ft² retail outlet.

Our team worked diligently to complete the project ahead of schedule, and we are proud to see the units now occupied by renowned brands such as Dunelm Mill, Argos Extra, Costa Coffee, Greggs, and Subway.

Expanding the Retail Area

In addition to the groundworks and demolition, our team also constructed an impressive 16,000 ft² first-floor mezzanine floor. This expansion allowed for increased density in the retail area, providing our clients with more space to showcase their products and services.

Section 278 Agreement and Access Link

As part of our commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions, we entered into a Section 278 agreement with the Local Authority. This agreement required the construction of a new access link from the A48, located off the main roundabout at Waterton Cross.

Our team undertook the challenging task of realigning the existing roundabout, adjusting road levels, and creating additional exit and de-acceleration lanes. It was essential for us to minimize disruption to traffic flow, so all construction activities were carefully planned and executed outside of peak traffic times and normal working hours.

By working closely with the Local Authority and adhering to strict timelines, we successfully completed the construction of the access link, ensuring improved connectivity and accessibility to the retail outlet at Parc Plaza.

Quality and Efficiency

At our company, we prioritize quality and efficiency in all our projects. For the Parc Plaza development, our experienced team of professionals meticulously planned and executed each aspect of the groundworks, section 278 works, earthworks, and demolition.

By leveraging our expertise and utilizing advanced construction techniques, we were able to deliver the project ahead of schedule, allowing our clients to occupy the units and start serving their customers promptly.

Customer Satisfaction

Our commitment to customer satisfaction is unwavering. We understand the importance of delivering projects that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. The successful completion of the retail outlet at Parc Plaza is a testament to our dedication to providing exceptional service and high-quality workmanship.

We take pride in our ability to collaborate effectively with our clients, ensuring clear communication, transparency, and a smooth construction process from start to finish.
