Project Overview
We are proud to have successfully completed the £2.85m development scheme on behalf of Lidl GB. This exciting project, which commenced in July 2019 and concluded in February 2020, involved the transformation of the former Dyfed Powys Police Station Carmarthen HQ into a state-of-the-art retail space.
Demolition and Asbestos Removal
Prior to commencing the construction phase, Total Regen meticulously carried out the demolition of the former police station. This involved the careful removal of all asbestos material from the building to ensure the safety of our workers and the surrounding environment.
Construction Phase
The construction phase of the development scheme was a testament to our expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. We installed a sturdy steel frame, a composite panels roof, and fully cladded walls, creating a robust and visually appealing structure.
A Modern Retail Space
The highlight of the development is the spacious sales area, which spans an impressive 1300m2. This expansive space provides ample room for customers to navigate and explore the wide range of products offered by Lidl GB.
In line with Lidl GB’s commitment to freshness and quality, the development scheme also included the construction of a fully functional bakery. This addition allows Lidl GB to provide customers with freshly baked goods, enhancing their shopping experience.
Embracing Sustainability
As part of our dedication to sustainable practices, we incorporated a PV system into the development. This system harnesses the power of solar energy, reducing the environmental impact of the retail space and contributing to Lidl GB’s sustainability goals.
Conclusion
The successful completion of the £2.85m development scheme for Lidl GB showcases our expertise in delivering complex projects within specified timelines. We are proud to have transformed the former Dyfed Powys Police Station Carmarthen HQ into a modern retail space, complete with a fully functional bakery and sustainable features.
